SMALLTOWN VINEYARDS

The search for prized vineyards

Established in 2011, Smalltown Vineyards highlights many of the Barossa’s prized districts, including Gomersal, Kalimna, Eden Valley and beyond.

We work with exceptional vineyards, simply capturing with the unique characteristics of the fruit by applying minimal intervention. Basket pressing were relevant, and natural ferments in open top fermenters capture the magical flavours of the Barossa.

And when it comes to the labels, we embrace the fun, quirky and creative, because, well, we can, and it is only wine after all...

Next Big Thing Chardonnay

New school chardy, that is not too serious, but shows that the Barossa can make a really delicious style.

Songlines Grenache

80yo vineyard, 100% whole berry ferment, basket pressed to old French oak for 12 months maturation.

Blackcraft Shiraz

Comprised of three Barossa Valley "floor" vineyards, striking a balance between complexity and juiciness.

“We’re not organic or biodynamic.

To us, it’s just farming. What we do comes back to common sense, and crafting wines that are a true reflection of the vineyard.”
